JPIP transfers funds to third parties to carry out activities corresponding to objectives focussed on the promotion of justice-related knowledge among the public, the promotion of public access to the justice system, the promotion of dialogue among justice stakeholders respecting justice issues, and the identification of new justice issues. [...] The Program was established to provide grants and contributions in support of five objectives: the creation of new justice knowledge, the promotion of greater access to justice through research or partnerships, legislative/social reforms, justice education, and improvements in the fairness of the justice system. [...] The purpose of the Hague Conference is to work for the progressive unification of the rules of private international law. [...] The purpose of UNIDROIT is to examine ways of harmonizing and coordinating the private law of states and groups of states, and to prepare gradually for the adoption by the various states of uniform rules of law.
