It would not have been possible to move from a ‗count‘ of non-market housing to a detailed survey without the full support of the management and staff of Calgary Housing Company (CHC), the largest provider of subsidized housing in Calgary. [...] She designed the GIS component of the project, tested the software that was used, and created all of the maps that would display the survey findings—for the city as a whole, for the nine CMHC rental market ‗zones,‘ and for the eight City of Calgary ‗sectors‘ used for planning and forecasting purposes. [...] Therefore, in the summer and fall of 2011, The City of Calgary—with the cooperation of the Calgary Homeless Foundation and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC)—conducted a detailed survey of non-market rental housing in the city.
