What We Heard – Report on the Roundtable on Social and Economic Inclusion

21 Jun 2018

'The Government of Canada is committed to ensuring that seniors are provided with the opportunities and resources that they need to fully participate in society and the economy. In this context, the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, convened a roundtable on March 26, 2018 to hear directly from representatives of seniors organizations about the issues and solutions for improving the social and economic inclusion of seniors in communities across Canada. The roundtable provided an opportunity for individuals representing the interests of diverse groups of seniors to share their experiences and to inform the Government of Canada’s work in support of seniors. This report summarizes what we heard during the roundtable discussions'--Context, p. 2.
