2016 progress report of the parties pursuant to the Canada-United States Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement

24 Sep 2016

'Canada and the United States are pleased to release the first Progress Report of the Parties, documenting the actions taken since the 2012 Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement (GLWQA) took effect in February 2013. This new reporting requirement under the Agreement helps strengthen the accountability of the Parties by clearly and publicly documenting the binational and domestic activities and accomplishments of Canada and the United States in the first three years of implementing the 2012 GLWQA. The report documents the significant progress achieved, with exceptional help from our partners, including accomplishments such as establishing phosphorus reduction targets for Lake Erie and designating the first set of Chemicals of Mutual Concern“--From the publishers.
