Evaluation of the Community War Memorial Program (CWMP) : Évaluation du Programme d'aide à l'édification de monuments commémoratifs dans la collectivité (PAEMCC)

The Program is thus responsive to Evaluation of the Community War Memorial Program i Final – February 2015 the needs of Canadians as the majority of Canadians continue to place importance on remembrance activities. [...] The Department is sensitive to the need to ensure that approaches to remembrance respect the traditions of the past, and also reflect the realities of the Veterans of today. [...] The following Table 3 indicates the national reach of the Program and shows the distribution of the Program’s project funding approved by province. [...] The evaluators feel that the feasibility of merging the Program and the CMRP should be examined. [...] The table thus indicates the resources consumed annually in the management and delivery of the Program, expressed as a percentage of the Program expenditures in each of three full fiscal years of Program operation (2011-12 to 2013-14).
