The first includes a profile of the city of Toronto, its residential structure and the spatial organization of its economical activities, while the second section provides an account of crimes reported by the Toronto Police Service. [...] The neighbourhoods where the average income of residents is lower are located between the wealthier areas, along the Canadian National railway towards the northeast and the northwest. [...] The Rexdale neighbourhood in the northeast and the Malvern neighbourhood in the east are home to high concentrations of South Asians, whileseveral Blacks live in the vicinity of Jane, north of Eglinton. [...] The city of Toronto, which is the central municipality of the Toronto CMA and the subject of this study, is served by the Toronto Police Service.
