As shown on Map #3, the Proponent has reduced the number of new undiscovered producing fields predicted as a “Best Estimate” on Table 7 of the GLJ report from 53 to 23 in the Colville Hills and from 61 to 28 in the Mackenzie Delta and Beaufort Sea (combined). [...] In contrast, for both the 1.8 BCFD and the 2.5-3.0 BCFD scenarios, the Sproule Study predicts only six (6) new undiscovered producing fields in the Colville Hills, five (5) new undiscovered producing fields in the Mackenzie Delta (onshore), and twenty-one (21) new undiscovered producing fields in the Mackenzie Delta (offshore). [...] In the case of the Mackenzie Delta, the seventeen geological plays identified in the Sproule Study were combined into the Mackenzie Delta (onshore) and Mackenzie Delta (offshore) as it was impossible to proportionately distribute the wells between the seventeen plays due to a lack of data.14 The “Expected Number of New Producing Fields” were then randomly selected based on the “Historical Discover [...] However, based on the peaks of the gas supply graphs contained in the GLJ Study (Figure 34 and 35, p. 65) and in the Sproule Study (Figure 7 and 9), most of the development would take place by the year 2030. [...] In the Colville Hills, the total linear corridors only reach the cautionary threshold of 1.0 linear km/sq km in the 4.0 BCFD scenario.
