The Influence of Teaching Beyond Standardized Test Scores

[...] Also, related to both clarify and captivate and consistent with the themes in this report, develop lucid explanations of how the skills and knowledge you teach are useful in the exercise of effective agency in real life. [...] Parents and teachers help to inspire, enable, and focus both a sense of agency and expression of agency by the opportunities, instruction, and guidance they provide. [...] The central question in the report is, “How do distinct components of teaching influence the development and expression of agency-related factors in sixth to ninth grade classrooms?” The analysis distinguishes seven major components of teaching and finds that the combination most important for predicting any given agency-related factor is distinctive.
