This development in the concept of Christian philosophy was a consequence of his discovery of the true nature of medieval theology, especially in the works of Thomas Aquinas - a dis- covery that he documents in his autobiographical The Philoso- pher and Theology. [...] This ought to be self-evident The theology of a theologian worthy of the name cannot be anything but the very movement of his mind and love as he seeks the truth about God in the teaching of sacred scripture and in the study of his creatures.
