He split the next two seasons between the Habs and the press box and left the NHL in 1988. [...] In 1989, Maclnnis won the Conn Smythe trophy after leading the Calgary Flames to the Stanley Cup and, in 1999, he was presented the Norris Trophy for the first time. [...] One of the classiest stars in league history, Kelly was the first recipient of the Norris trophy in 1954 and was a four-time winner of the Lady Byng Trophy. [...] He joined the club in time to contribute to the last two of these and later played on four more championships with the Habs in the 1960s. [...] The name was equally applicable to the NHL, though, because by the time he retired he was 45 and the oldest goalie ever to have played in the league.
