In some jurisdictions in Canada and other countries, this challenge is being addressed by providing flexibility and choice for trainees through the implementation of alternative methods of training trades, reducing in some cases the number of days and weeks spent in the classroom by as much as fifty percent. [...] The purpose of this report is to capture best practices and lessons learned for both the print-based and online design and delivery of alternative trades training programs.
