[...] Another important idea to consider from the outset is that while the emergence and use of crystal meth is a relatively new phenomenon (i.e.: compared to other mind altering agents), the issue of addiction is nothing new. [...] If the user is separated from his meth supply for too long, he will resort to picking the meth bug scabs and eating them to ingest the last of the chemicals into his body (Meth Bugs, n.d.)
