The purpose of this report is to review the clinical effectiveness of laser therapy for hyperhidrosis and to review evidence-based guidelines regarding the use of laser therapy for hyperhidrosis. [...] However the results need to be interpreted with caution in light of the associated limitations of the studies. [...] The proportion of females and males was not reported in one RCT6 and was reported in two RCTs,8,9 both with a higher proportion of females. [...] Summary of Critical Appraisal Critical appraisal of the included RCTs and NRSs are summarized below and additional details are provided in Appendix 3. Randomized controlled trials All the included RCTs6,8,9 stated the objective and the inclusion criteria, and provided details of interventions and outcomes. [...] In the RCTs, the sample size was small for each treatment group (six to 25) In two RCTs6,9, all patients completed the study and in one RCT8 about 10% did not complete the study and reasons for withdrawal were provided.
