[...] Some of this work includes that of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, the Assembly of First Nations, the Office of the Auditor General of Canada, and the House of Commons Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development in its 3 1992 report entitled A Time for Action, as well as its 2007 follow-up. [...] Reports of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, the Assembly of First Nations and the Office of the Auditor General of Canada have highlighted a range of concerns, including a shortage of units and overcrowding; mould contamination; and a high proportion of homes in need of major repair. [...] Although there is a great diversity of housing situations and conditions across the country, and some First Nation communities enjoy the benefits of good quality, well-constructed homes, the housing conditions for many communities continues to worsen, and the shortage of housing continues to 8 grow.
