Youth employment, unemployment and under-employment in Ottawa /

The transition from school to work for young people have generally been viewed as a complicated period of youth development from student to professional life. Statistical trends indicating the slow recovery of youth employment ratespost-recession show that this transition has been particularly difficult in the last five years. This report is intended to illustrate the experiences of unemployed, underemployed and employed youth in order to identify gaps in employment servicesand resources and the needs of youth when it comes to securing and retaining work.
