Return to work concerns faced by people dealing with cancer and caregivers

15 Jun 2012

The National Survivorship Working Group of the Cancer Journey Advisory of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (the Partnership) requested that a literature review and consultations be conducted to determine current Canadian information regarding challenges that people dealing with cancer and their caregivers face when the person with cancer returns to the workplace (as an employee or self-employed) during or after treatment. Up until now the work-life experience for people with cancer and care-givers has been inadequately addressed in Canada. This current project focuses on the survivorship issue of returning to work from the perspective of those most affected by a cancer diagnosis.
