Given that assessment, evaluation, and reporting are clearly the professional responsibilities of teachers, and that they have a serious impact on the lives of students, it is important to have a deep and broad understanding of the links that exist between policy related to assessment, evaluation, and reporting and how it is understood, interpreted, and applied in the actual practices of secondary [...] Formative evaluation is a tool designed to keep both students and teachers aware of the objectives to be achieved and to inform them of progress."
