The Nova Scotia arena access report

18 May 2006

The purpose of this study was to collect information that will help in answering three questions: (1) the main focus of the study, to find out whether or not arenas around Nova Scotia are offering free of cost time to the general public in order to determine if the NS population are getting access to the arenas; (2) to determine if women and girls were getting equal access to the arenas around the province and how much they were currently using the facilities; (3) to determine if persons with disabilities were getting access to the arenas around the province, and if there was any programming and equipment available for them to make participation more accessible.
