We conduct surveys of Canadians and collect administrative data to understand the status of the nation’s health, characteristics and behaviours that promote health or place us at risk of ill health, interactions of Canadians with the health system, direct measures of health, dynamics of health over time and health outcomes. [...] The research involves the linking of provincial and territorial health administrative data within themselves, and with Statistics Canada population health survey data, the births and deaths databases, and the Canadian Cancer Registry. [...] Its mandate is to provide high quality, relevant and comprehensive information on the health status of the population and on the health care system. [...] As expected, the predicted probabilities are linearly related to the proportion of individuals who actually experienced an Access to primary care services (regular medical doctor and ACSC-related hospitalization in each risk quintile, providing visits with family doctors) was not signifi cantly associated with evidence of the robustness of the models. [...] The results evidence points to diff erential access to and use of health clearly point to the role of disability (men) and co-morbid care by income including among those with ACS chronic 28-30 conditions (women) in increasing the odds of an ACSC-related conditions.
