Exemplary school libraries in Ontario

Exemplary School libraries are a central hub of the school. They are prominently placed and a centre of activity and learning. The teacher librarians in such programs commonly collaborate with other teachers in the school, and they find ways to engage the community to best support children's learning. The purpose of this project was to identify the characteristics of an exemplary elementary school library. We asked the questions: What are the characteristics that exemplary libraries have in common? and What are the things that make them unique?
