The Program Plan demonstrates alignment of the Ecosystems Program with priorities and goals of the ministry and the provincial government, and will provide a base for increased understanding and improved communications regarding the context and work of the Ecosystems Program. [...] Work of the program encompasses a broad range of subject areas and functions, including wildlife and !sh science and research; collecting and managing information on soils, species and ecosystems; species at risk; conservation planning; habitat conservation, management and restoration; and developing and implementing policy and legislation related to these areas.
