The Department of Health and Social Services with the expert advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) is responsible for the direct management of the outbreak, treatment of the public, and the care and treatment of individuals in care of the Department; •. The Government Response which aims to maintain critical public services throughout the pandemic. [...] For Yukon, the Minister of Health and Social Services is responsible for the administration of the Public Health and Safety Act, and the management of the health-related aspects of a pandemic. [...] Within government, the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Department of Health and Social Services and the Department of Community Services support the Minister of Health and Social Services in managing the health-related aspects of a pandemic. [...] The CMOH serves as the chief medical adviser to the Yukon government through the Department of Health and Social Services and acts as the public spokesperson for the Department when responding to a pandemic. [...] The Deputy Ministers of Health report directly to the Ministers of Health and Yukon is represented in these forums by the Deputy Minister and Minister of Health and Social Services.
