The AHWS Phase lll Agreement (amended April 1, 2005) states that the mandate of the JMC is to oversee the implementation and management of the AHWS by addressing the immediate and Long-Term strategic issues, priorities, resources and directions of the Strategy. [...] Overview of the AHWS Longitudinal Study, Phase lll (2005-2008) In 1999, the Joint Management Committee (JMC) of the Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Strategy (AHWS) initiated a Longitudinal Study to assess the impact of the Strategy-funded programs and services on the health and healing of participating Aboriginal individuals and communities. [...] The intent of Phase lll of the Longitudinal Study was to gather both qualitative and quantitative data concerning the impact of the AHWS programs and services on clients and to relate this information to the previous two Phases of the Study. [...] Culture Based Indicators The purpose of developing culture-based indicators for the Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Strategy (AHWS) is to assist in the understanding of what are the cultural approaches to and outcomes of AHWS-funded programs and services.
