[...] Nonetheless, the Committee heard that the government supports the work of the OECD: …Canada absolutely endorses the process and the work of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. [...] Swedes see the provision of high quality ECEC as a means of both fostering the development of the child, and enabling parents to participate in the labour market.19 The OECD found the investment and support for ECEC in France to be particularly impressive.20.
