The purpose of this paper is four-fold: to review the literature to identify new and emerging ANP roles within and outside Canada; to identify potential impacts and benefits of these new and emerging roles to nursing and to the public; to identify opportunities and challenges in implementing new ANP roles; and to provide a framework for discussion and consultation on the feasibility and desirabili [...] The Association vision is to advance the quality of nursing in the interest of the public.
