Report : Falls Assessment Working Group report

Shortly after the release of the report, the Department of Health established a Project Management Team to oversee the implementation of the report’s recommendations. [...] Members of the working group approved the final draft of the Framework report in June 2005. [...] The first recommendation is in response to the mandate of the group and specifically addresses the use hip protectors. [...] Recommendation: Should the Department of Health pursue the development of policies related to the use of hip protectors, more in-depth study and consultation, particularly in relation to the Cost of Care initiative, will be required.
