[...] The purpose of this Rapid Response is to identify the clinical effectiveness of seasonal influenza immunization in health care workers to prevent the spread of influenza to patients. [...] Key Findings One overview of systematic reviews and two non-randomized studies were identified regarding the clinical effectiveness of seasonal influenza immunization of health care workers to prevent the spread of influenza to patients. [...] Two of the non-randomized studies were in favour of the use of influenza vaccine, while the overview of systematic reviews reported conflicting results. [...] More research needs to be conducted in order to support or oppose the use of the influenza vaccination in health care workers to prevent the spread of influenza to patients.
