The Report covers the work of the Committee in regard to identifying potential strategies for maintaining the sustainability and quality of British Columbia’s health care system and was unanimously adopted by the Committee. [...] In addition to the powers previously conferred upon the Select Standing Committee on Health, the committee shall be empowered: a. to appoint of their number one or more subcommittees and to refer to such subcommittees any of the matters referred to the committee and to delegate to the subcommittee all or any of its powers except the power to report directly to the House; b. to sit during a period [...] The Committee’s original Terms of Reference tasked the Committee with outlining strategies to mitigate the impact of cost drivers on the sustainability and improvement of the health care system.
