[...] The NOHFC introduced its film funding program in 2005 with the objective to “advance the development of a successful film and TV production industry in the North”. [...] The initial structure of this program provided up to 50% of eligible costs, up to $1 million, with half in the form of a repayable term loan, half in the form of a conditional grant. [...] This ongoing, on-set skills development is integral to the continued expansion and sustainability of the industry and to the continued attraction of diverse production types.
