Stakeholders Advisory Committee and Mandate The role of the Stakeholders Advisory Committee (SAC) is to explore the implications of the increasing demand in British Columbia for Francophone and French Immersion programs, including the consequences for Core French programming, and to identify areas of need and potential responses. [...] The notes of the meetings were collected and compiled by the report’s author, analyzed for prominent themes and organized for presentation in the report. [...] The Ministry is also extremely grateful to each of the representatives who sat on the committee and contributed to the richness of the discussions. [...] The ideas they brought to the table, the actions they undertook to ensure that the committee was well informed and its work was shared with the others in the field of French-language education in B. C., and their commitment to French education were a great source of inspiration and motivation for all of us. [...] During the second discussion session, Gail Stromquist, BCTF representative and project leader and curator for the BCTF’s Project of Heart, circulated among the three discussion groups to introduce the project and share French-language resources facilitating the integration of Aboriginal world views and perspectives in program delivery.
