To this end, the unit enlisted the collaboration of some of its main partners, including the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC), the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS) and the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). [...] Many experts have shown that the more isolated the community, the higher the cost and the lower the quality and variety of available food products, especially fruits and vegetables. [...] The high price of food in grocery stores and the costs of hunting and fishing are a further burden to the poverty in many Québec Aboriginal communities.
